A Year in Review: Highlights from 2022

It’s been quite a year. And while we’re always looking ahead here at Apprentice, we’re looking back as well — on cherished memories, projects, and celebrations.
Join us on this trip down memory lane as we journey through 12 of our favorite company moments from 2022.
We kicked off the year strong with an appearance on Fox Business’s January Trending Today episode.
On the segment, Apprentice leaders Angelo Stracquatanio and Marie Forshaw discussed the Tempo Manufacturing Cloud and how it’s transforming the future of pharmaceutical manufacturing.
The episode also featured three Apprentice customers and partners:
- Synthego: a genome engineering company accelerating life science research and development in the pursuit of improved human health
- Catalent: the global leader in enabling pharma, biotech, and consumer health partners to optimize product development, launch, and full life-cycle supply for patients around the world
- Silverton Partners: an Apprentice investor and venture capital fund focused on funding and mentoring early-stage businesses
Throughout the pandemic, Apprentice.io helped produce approximately 370 million doses of the COVID-19 vaccine. "We are helping modernize life sciences to get us out of this pandemic and help the next wave of therapies get to market," Stracquatanio explains.
We’re a big fan of creative expression here at Apprentice, and we also have a major sweet tooth. So we couldn’t pass up the chance to bring the two together for our Valentine’s Day celebration.
On Valentine’s Day, the team attended a virtual cookie decorating session hosted by the fabulous Baked by Melissa.
Armed with buttercream frosting and sprinkles in every shape and size, we set out on our journey to embrace our inner artists:
We got a chance to show off our buttercream calligraphy, experiment with sprinkles, chat about our hobbies, and introduce our teammates to our kids and pets. A very valuable Valentine's Day indeed!
As we continue to adjust to the “new normal” of remote work life, it’s not always easy to find ways to keep our teams connected. That’s why we make a point to prioritize team building activities here at Apprentice (okay, the delicious calories were a huge motivator as well).
As silly as it may sound, taking an hour out of our day to collaborate on cookie decorating really helped to bring our network of remote offices closer together.
And as for the million dollar question… Do our cookie garnishing skills match our prowess for perfecting MES software? Only one way to find out!
In March the Apprentice team headed to San Diego for Pharma MES USA, where we unveiled our Tempo Manufacturing Cloud in person for the very first time!
Attendees were invited to demo our latest cloud-based platform and chat with our MES experts about the benefits of going digital before heading over to our keynote address that kicked off the show.

All in all, our team had a blast meeting old friends and new at Pharma MES. It was great talking shop with like-minded pharmaceutical manufacturing enthusiasts from all types of backgrounds.
From cleaning up parks to planting trees, our team had a blast celebrating Earth Day 2022.
We’re inspired by the dream of a paper-free world. We help our clients move from paper to the cloud, so we know the importance of saving our trees.
For that reason, Apprentice matched all employee pledges to One Tree Planted for our 2022 Earth Day initiative. Our contact Megan Clarke kept us motivated with tallies of trees saved throughout the month of April:

And by family, we don’t just mean humans! Apprentice Director of Demand Generation Nathan Anderson took his corgi Yoda on a waterfall hike:
They say a picture speaks a thousand words. We’re pretty sure that when the picture includes a corgi, it’s more like ten thousand.
From park cleanups to nature hikes, it was really special to see all the different ways our team celebrated the planet for Earth Day 2022.
At last year’s Interphex Conference, we made a ton of new friends and presented on the CDMO and Technical Stages. At our booth, we brought our customizable software to life through a build your own snack mix experience.
At the event, we were honored to receive the Efficiency Champion 2022 award. This award is given to an exhibitor with an outstanding product that supports the fast pace of the pharmaceutical industry.
And after the daily conference events, our team made sure to get some quality bonding time over appetizers and rooftop cocktails:
All in all, we had a blast at last year’s Interphex. We’re so grateful for all the friends and memories we made, and we can't wait to see what this year’s event brings!

To kick off Q3, our team gathered at our headquarters in Jersey City for a company-wide onsite.
The rain showed up as well, but luckily it held off long enough onsite for us to enjoy some outdoor team-building activities:

Thanks to this gathering, we were able to jump into Q3 with cross-functional goal alignment and a number of fine-tuned product development plans in place.
We were also left with a renewed sense of gratitude for the daily opportunity we have to help our pharma customers create lifesaving therapeutics for people around the world.
In August of 2022, our team celebrated our placement of #543 on the Inc. 5000 list! We’re proud to be included among the most successful and fastest growing privately run companies in America.
Our ranking in the top 10% on the 2022 Inc. 5000 list represents a 1,157% growth rate since 2021. The company also ranked 60th fastest in the software industry and 17th in its home state of New Jersey.

At Apprentice, we like to take everything seriously… including Halloween!
Our Executive Team kicked off the festivities with an adorable array of spooky tricks & treats at our Jersey City headquarters:
Next up was a company-wide costume contest! Locals headed to the office decked out in their costumes, and remote teammates from all over the globe shared photos of their attire.

To wrap up the year, our team gathered in Jersey City for a company onsite and holiday celebration.
We debated, collaborated, celebrated the holiday season, and pushed our 2023 goals forward. A wonderful ending to a phenomenal year!
It was wonderful getting to plan — and party — as a whole team. But so much magic happened in the smaller moments too. From 1:1 syncs to company-wide collaborations, there’s lightning when we meet.
And with that, we’ll set our sights back on the horizon and our top plans for 2023. Stay tuned for more Apprentice events, and wishing all a wonderful start to the new year!
